In the world of synth pop and similar music genres, Electrozombies has been a leading voice in the international dark music community since 2010. The site started out as a simple video blog and is now the biggest magazine in the niche.
Technology: WordPress, speed optimisation (WP Rocket and image compression), SEO (RankMath), CPTs, auto-linking and load-time optimised YouTube video embedding.
Depeche Mode Covers is the leading source for official and professionally produced cover versions of the cult band. In addition to the cover songs and tributes, the website offers an extensive blog, special songs dedicated to Depeche Mode, and much more.
Technology: In 2024, the original website, which was based on ASP with a Microsoft database, was migrated to a modern WordPress system. In the process, the site was extensively expanded and strategically realigned. Highlights include linked CPTs (Custom Post Types), an Ajax-based search, an animated logo, dynamic statistics, an integrated newsletter tool and powerful filter options for cover songs.
Madcap Movies is dedicated to films that are a little more “special”. Based on the principle: “First the idea, then the budget”. In addition to trash gems and Japanese splatter, big blockbusters are also represented.
Technology: WordPress, speed optimisation (optimised template structure and image compression), SEO (RankMath), CPTs, social login, user profiles for saving films and many dynamic queries and content-related visibility of elements.
